How to Improve Your Skin Health in Your 30s

We know that skin care is important; however, when you are in your 30s, you will want to make skincare more important than ever before. The truth is that the earliest signs of aging, such as fine lines, are more visible in your 30s. The underlying reason is that in your 30s, your skin becomes less elastic and even drier.

All these aspects are part of the natural aging process. Now, before you start to get depressed, you will want to know that there are several things you can do to improve your skin health.

Here is how:

Sun Protection

The first thing that you want to do is to protect your skin from damaging UV rays. The sun is one of the biggest contributors to aging, which is why you will want to apply a sunscreen cream with the right SPF to protect your skin from damaging UV rays.

Ideally, you will want to apply a sunscreen that is of SPF that is higher than 30 every day – even on cloudy days. Also, on sunny days, you will want to wear sunglasses and a hat to protect yourself from the sun’s rays.

Use Anti-Aging Products

When you are in your 30s, you will want to stock up on anti-aging products. The best thing to do is to talk to a dermatologist so that you can establish a dedicated skincare regime that suits your skin type and addresses the various skincare issues that you might have.

Also, the dermatologist will guide you about the laser treatments that can help you with the different conditions. Also, make sure to use a gentle cleaner and moisturizer. Also, pay attention to your eyes, as the skin around your eyes becomes more delicate with age.

So, you certainly want to get a good eye cream. Also, retinol is great for anti-aging and keeping your skin in the best condition.

Live an Active Life

As you age, you start to lose muscle mass, which is why you will want to start living a more active lifestyle. You will want to work out, do pilates, and focus on strength training to strengthen your muscles and get rid of fat.

If you have a desk job that requires you to sit for extensive hours, you will want to make it a point to get up after every hour and move around a bit. Also, get a gym membership or join a workout group that you like and where you can socialize with like-minded people who can help you stay on track.

Avoid Alcohol

If you have been an avid drinker in your 20s, you will want to keep things on the low in your 30s as alcohol consumption, and tobacco will soon start to reflect on your visage in the form of fine lines and wrinkles. You might want to stick to one glass of wine in a week and bid farewell to smoking tobacco altogether. If you struggle with going cold turkey, you might want to transition to an e-cig before opting for going cold turkey.
